The most common response is that they find themselves having problems when studying and really don’t quite know what to do with them. They tell me that the directions for a given assignment are not so clear. I also hear problems like not knowing the right approach or procedure to to the work required to answer the questions being asked. Sometimes students report that they are simply frustrated, feeling that they are so far behind that they can never catch up. Forgetting a needed resource to complete an assignment in a place where it cannot be retrieved until the morning or even later is another problem that crops up from time to time.
Once you have your study area set up establish a set of rules for yourself and your family or roommates for when you are studying. Sit down and talk with them, letting them know that when you are studying you are not to be disturbed except in the case of an emergency. Constant distractions and people wandering through your study area will make your learning experience that much harder.

Next, is reviewing. Reviewing is the king of all study techniques. You are making new paths in your brain, and they need to be travelled many times before they become good paths. That means review a lot, but not too much.
Also, judge your environment. How much LIFE and how much DEATH do you have in your surroundings? How many items in your house promote LIFE and how many are of DEATH? Is there a gun or illegal possessions in your home? What themes are the most prominent in the music you listen to? How about your close friends? How many DEATH habits do they have? How about your job? Are the people you frequently associate with completely consumed by LIFE or DEATH?
Take an active role when studying. Do not just read the book. Ensure that you are actively involved in the process. You can highlight the most important points using a pencil as you read. You can also record questions or any items that are not understood. Try drawing things that relate to what you read. This way, you are more likely to remember what you learn. Prepare notes towards the end of each study session. This acts as a self assessment method and you can also use the notes as a fast reference guide during examination time.

It can be something as simple as a monthly calendar with due dates and classes listed. A help with essay can use their calendar to block off time that they will set aside to study during the month. Some like a flexible schedule and plan to study during different times during the week. Others like a set time. They plan to study every day at a set time. Finding a plan and sticking to it will benefit each student immensely.
The best life has to offer is achieved when you are present in life. Past experiences exist in a realm where they can never be altered. Some people habitually relive experiences in their heart, mind, and soul but doing so has no effect on the relived experience. Based on productivity yield, I would say spending too much time in past experiences is poor usage of the gift of today.

Set aside time to prioritize what is important and what can wait. Next, re-evaluate those things in your life that you don’t need to spend so much time on, or that can be delegated. Finally, cut out those “time zappers” if they don’t serve you; like spending too much time at meetings, on social networks, or on the phone.
Young people, before they pick a student loan, need to take a good long look at what exactly they can expect to make when they graduate. They should never borrow more than they can afford to repay on the kind of salary they will make their first year. Sadly, there are young people spending big bucks to major in subjects like sociology or Middle English literature. What are the chances that one can make a decent enough salary with skills like these?
